Founded in 1967, Gaston Day School is a non-sectarian college preparatory institution for grades Pre-S through 12. Throughout its history, nearly 100% of its graduating classes have entered four-year colleges and universities immediately upon graduation. Located in Gastonia, North Carolina, the school serves communities in five counties with an enrollment of approximately enrollment 500 students.
The 60-acre campus features multiple academic buildings, a state-of-the-art library, a visual and performing arts center with a 550-seat performance hall and dance studio. In addition, the Student Activity Center includes chef-curated dining options, an impressive gym and workout spaces, and community gathering spaces. The school has idea labs and maker spaces, outdoor classrooms, a wetland, soccer and baseball fields, and miles of cross-country trails. The school boasts a top Niche ranking and is consistently ranked among the region's finest independent schools.
