Middle School Math Teacher 2026-2027 School Year

The Middle School Math Teacher will teach 6th-grade math and pre-algebra. The candidate for this position will be expected to design and maintain a class environment favorable to students’ academic and personal growth and to establish effective rapport with students while maintaining proper classroom management. 

Responsibilities & Duties:
•    Teach middle school math courses, including 6th-grade math and pre-algebra, incorporating various assessment techniques. 
•    Ability to diversify curriculum for various academic levels. 
•    Teach courses in Pinewood’s Middle School Enrichment program or other extracurricular activity.
•    Create a classroom environment that actively engages students and is developmentally appropriate for the age, maturity, and interests of the students.
•    Establish and maintain standards of student behavior.
•    Serve as a homeroom advisor within the school’s advisement program.
•    Perform other related duties as directed by the Head of School, Division leadership, and the Head of the Math Department.

Core Qualifications and Credentials:
•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in upper Elementary or Middle School Math, or closely related field.
