Director of Community, Belonging, and Global Education

Job Description

Charlotte Latin School seeks a new Director of Community, Belonging, and Global Education starting on July 1, 2026. 

The Director of Community, Belonging, and Global Education is a strategic leadership position responsible for cultivating an inclusive school community while advancing global citizenship through multicultural education and international programming. This role reports to the Associate Head of School and serves as a key member of Charlotte Latin's Senior Administration and the Academic Leadership Team. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Director of Community, Belonging, and Global Education has key responsibilities in the following areas: (1) multicultural education and curriculum, (2) DEIB, (3) global engagement and international programs, and (4) community engagement. The Director also oversees related budgets and resource management in support of these responsibilities. 

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will hold a master's degree in a related field and bring 5–7 years of K–12 experience, including demonstrated leadership in diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, or global education. They will have a strong understanding of DEIB in schools, a proven ability to design and implement strategic initiatives, and experience with curriculum development and faculty professional learning. The candidate will be an effective facilitator and communicator, culturally competent, and skilled at building relationships across diverse communities. Experience with international programs is preferred, along with the flexibility to travel. Personally, they will demonstrate an authentic commitment to belonging, think strategically while executing effectively, lead collaboratively with emotional intelligence, and navigate complexity with resilience and sound judgment.
