An established Episcopal day school, St. George’s Episcopal School is located 50 miles south of metropolitan Atlanta, and is situated on over 40 acres in Milner, Ga.  SGES is a dynamic PK–12th grade school with an enrollment of over 300 students from 6 counties.  With a long-standing tradition of academic excellence, SGES strives to enroll children from diverse cultural, ethnic, economic, and religious backgrounds. 

We currently seek an energetic, organized, and tech‑savvy Front Desk & Office Manager to serve as the welcoming face of our campus and the central hub of daily operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys supporting students and families, and brings a positive, solutions‑oriented spirit to their work.

 Position Overview

The Front Desk & Office Manager oversees the school’s main reception area, provides administrative support to faculty and leadership, and ensures smooth day‑to‑day operations. The ideal candidate is upbeat, highly professional, comfortable with technology, and able to manage multiple tasks with grace and confidentiality.

 Key Responsibilities

·        Warmly greet and assist students, families, visitors, and vendors, ensuring a welcoming and professional front‑of‑house experience

·        Manage incoming calls, emails, and general inquiries with clarity, efficiency, and a service‑oriented mindset

·        Maintain student attendance records, daily logs, and other essential documentation

·        Provide administrative support to school leadership, including scheduling, communication, and project coordination

·        Oversee office supplies, inventory, and equipment; coordinate maintenance requests as needed

·        Support faculty with printing, copying, and basic tech troubleshooting

·        Assist with event coordination, communication distribution, and campus logistics

·        Uphold strict confidentiality regarding student, family, and school information

·        Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient front office environment

·        Serve as a calm, reliable presence during busy periods or unexpected situations

 Qualifications

·        Strong proficiency with technology, including email platforms, databases, Google Workspace/Microsoft Office, and basic troubleshooting

·        Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

·        Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a dynamic school environment

·        Warm, positive, and professional demeanor

·        High level of discretion and respect for confidential information

·        Previous experience in a school or customer‑service‑focused environment preferred

·        Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
