We're seeking a passionate, reflective educator to join our Lower School faculty as a Lead Teacher. What You'll Do
Create a Classroom Where Every Child Belongs
- Cultivate a warm, inclusive classroom culture where students feel safe, seen, and valued
- Foster student voice, compassion for others, and a whole-child approach to learning
- Supervise students with care and intentionality - in the classroom, on the playground, and across campus—creating a safe, consistent, supportive environment
Teach with Purpose and Responsiveness
- Design and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction that meets diverse learning needs and styles
- Utilize grade-level instructional materials grounded in best practices (including structured literacy approaches when appropriate)
- Analyze student data to inform instruction and provide effective, timely feedback
- Monitor student progress continuously and adjust teaching to support growth for all learners
Collaborate and Grow Alongside Colleagues
- Work closely with grade-level team members to plan instruction, share ideas, and support one another
- Collaborate across departments to further the mission of the school and support student success
- Mentor and support an Associate Teacher in their professional growth and development
- Engage actively in faculty meetings, team planning, and ongoing professional development during the school year and summer
Partner with Families
- Build positive, trusting relationships with Lovett families
- Communicate student progress clearly and regularly through report cards, conferences, digital platforms, and other touchpoints
- Foster strong home-school partnerships that support each child's growth
Contribute to the Lovett Community
