Ravenscroft School seeks a dynamic and student-centered Physical Education Teacher to join our Lower and Middle School community. This educator will play an essential role in advancing the School’s commitment to comprehensive student wellness while fostering a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and joyful engagement in physical activity.
Ravenscroft is an all-gender independent day school serving approximately 1,205 students in grades preschool through 12. We are committed to nurturing each student’s individual potential and cultivating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community. The ideal candidate demonstrates empathy, cultural competence, and a strong understanding of teaching physical education to Lower and Middle School students.
The Physical Education Teacher will prioritize authentic relationship-building with students, colleagues, and families; collaborate closely with the Associate Head of School for Student Affairs and Physical Education Department Chairs; and model curiosity, professionalism, and a growth mindset.

This position requires active participation in physical activity, including demonstrating exercises and remaining on one’s feet for extended periods. The role involves supervising students in gymnasium and outdoor settings and coaching athletics across multiple seasons.
