About the IDEAS Department
The IDEAS department is an interdisciplinary program designed to integrate Innovation, Design, Entrepreneurship, Analytics, and Sustainability into the student experience. Rather than treating technology as a standalone subject, the department weaves these five pillars into every aspect of teaching and learning, encouraging students to work collaboratively across traditional academic boundaries.
The hub of the department is the IDEASxChange, a creative multi-use space located in the Dickson-Hemby Technology Center. This recently renovated facility promotes interaction between students and faculty while providing access to state-of-the-art equipment, including 3d printers, laser cutters, robotics, drones, esports arena, and more.
