Director of Admissions and Parent Engagement

Job Description

About the School
The New School is a progressive, independent school in Atlanta serving approximately 80 students. The school is known for its student-centered, experiential approach to learning, emphasizing creativity, curiosity, and community. With a close-knit and highly relational culture, The New School offers a distinctive educational model that continues to attract mission-aligned families seeking an innovative alternative to traditional schooling.

About the Position
The Director of Admissions & Parent Engagement is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving the school’s enrollment strategy, student recruitment, and retention efforts. Reporting directly to the Head of School, this individual will design and execute a comprehensive enrollment management plan that aligns with the school’s mission and supports its long-term sustainability.

The Director will oversee admissions, manage the full enrollment funnel, and partner closely with the Head of School and leadership team to strengthen the school’s market positioning, messaging, and community outreach. Given the school’s size, this leader will play a visible and relational role with prospective and current families, serving as a key ambassador for the school.

The ideal candidate will bring:
• Proven success in enrollment management, admissions, or related leadership roles
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• A data-informed approach to enrollment strategy and pipeline management
• The ability to operate effectively in a nimble, mission-driven environment

This is an opportunity for an entrepreneurial leader to shape the growth trajectory of a distinctive and forward-thinking school.
