Assistant Director of the Latin Fund

Job Description

Position Summary

The Assistant Director of the Latin Fund will collaborate with the Director to develop and execute the annual giving strategy and goals. The Assistant Director will oversee Latin Fund operations, including giving challenges and stewardship. The Assistant Director will serve as a frontline fundraiser with a portfolio of annual giving prospects and will manage cultivation and solicitation strategies for parents, alumni parents, and grandparents. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the operational coordinator for the Latin Fund program. 
  • Assist in developing strategies and setting goals for programs within the Latin Fund.
  • Promote awareness and support for the Latin Fund throughout the Charlotte Latin community.
  • Serve as a frontline fundraiser and manage a portfolio of annual fund prospects.
  • Determine and coordinate the overall cultivation and solicitation strategy for parents, grandparents, and alumni parents to promote leadership giving and participation in the Latin Fund. 
  • Oversee volunteer recruitment, training, and management in support of the Latin Fund.
  • Coordinate and execute FLY DAY, Charlotte Latin's annual day of giving.
  • Coordinate and manage the Latin Fund's faculty and staff giving program.
  • Manage the office's vendor relationship with GiveCampus, including budgeting and strategically assessing GiveCampus's capabilities to best meet the team's needs. 
  • Partner with the Director of Latin Fund, the Advancement Services team, and gift officers to identify leadership annual fund prospects, determine targeted ask amounts, research and qualify prospects, and develop solicitation strategies.
  • Participate in the Moves Management process for leadership annual fund donors, including action tracking and completing visit reports.
  • Partner with the Director of the Latin Fund and the Advancement Services team to manage the Latin Fund's gift processing, receipting, and gift acknowledgement process. Ensure the timely management of pledges and payments to the Latin Fund.
  • Develop, write, and produce annual marketing pieces to promote the Latin Fund in partnership with the Director of the Latin Fund and the Marketing & Communications team. 
  • Develop and execute a dynamic social media plan to drive donor engagement and acquisition in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications team.
  • Support the Latin Fund cultivation and stewardship event schedule. Attend all Latin Fund events.
  • Steward donors by making thank-you calls, writing notes, and sending emails upon gifts being received; assist in developing and proofing the Gratitude Report.
  • Partner with the Capital Team to determine Latin Fund donors who are ready to enter the campaign solicitation pipeline.

  • Ability and willingness to work outside of regular business hours, including some weekends and evenings, and to travel a few times per year nationally.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of professional experience in fundraising, marketing, sales, or client relations.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace products, demonstrated experience with fundraising databases - Raiser's Edge preferred. Strong social media and technology skills.
