Isle of Wight Academy

Isle of Wight Academy is an independent, non-sectarian, co-educational, nonprofit day school. The philosophy of Isle of Wight Academy is to accept students of average or above average ability and develop them to their fullest potential.  The school emphasizes honor, integrity, social development, and citizenship of its students.

K-7 students study math, English, history, reading, science, and writing.  They also participate in an enrichment program consisting of: art, band, STEM, music, physical education, leadership, and public speaking.  Students in grades 8-12 follow a college preparatory program.  Advanced Placement and Dual Credit offerings allow students to accumulate 40+ college credits.

Isle of Wight Academy also offer a complete varsity, junior varsity, and middle school (partial) athletic program. Football, basketball (boys and girls), volleyball (girls), baseball (boys) and softball (girls), co-ed golf, co-ed soccer, cross country (boys and girls), indoor/outdoor track (boys and girls), and fall and winter cheerleading are offered yearly.  IWA also offers extracurricular activities in student government (SCO), the National Honor Society, service clubs, science clubs, scholastic teams, and music and drama programs.
